Practical requirements

  • Shopify says 2048 × 2048 px usually displays best for square product images; it is not a required size or shape.
  • Keep the featured product photos at a consistent aspect ratio if you want an even collection grid.
  • Use a sharp source image. Enlarging a small photo cannot restore missing detail.

How to use this resizer

  1. Add up to five product photos. Shopify is already selected.
  2. Choose Fit entire product to avoid cropping, then adjust canvas, spacing, or JPG quality if needed.
  3. Select Amazon, Etsy, or eBay too if you cross-list, then download a ZIP with a folder for each marketplace.

Frequently asked questions

Does Shopify require 2048 × 2048 px square images?

No. Shopify says 2048 × 2048 px usually displays best for square product images, but product photos can have other sizes and aspect ratios. Use this preset when you want a consistent square set.

Will this fix a Shopify slideshow or banner that gets cropped?

No. This preset makes square product images. Slideshow and banner crops depend on your theme, image aspect ratio, and focal point; use your theme editor for those layouts.

Can one batch also make Amazon, Etsy, and eBay images?

Yes. Select the other marketplace cards before creating the batch. The ZIP groups each output by marketplace. Review every image and current platform rules before publishing.
